Letting the light in.
Just a makeshift spot, under a skylight, in a little slice of pie shaped room upstairs. Porch table and chair that were here.
A paperwork place I need right now that still has good light because more rain is coming. And yes the walls are pink and I will change that. Things take time. I've slowed way down.
New ThreadKeepers in progress.
Catching thoughts , with tea... how hopes and prayers will not be enough but it's a start.

i’m inspired
Yay! energy!
Small spaces contain the possibility of unlimited openings.
it is always interesting how just space might become place
Focus on what we can do, to keep making is one of them. 🙂
We build our sense of things.
And just look at the table cloth!
Gonna stitch on that soon.
having a pie piece shaped room to work with paper…perfect! even if it’s pink.
What a funny house this is!
Jude~ Love the still life artists corner 🙂
It was just what I needed today.
(No, it surely will NOT be enough . . .) But your thread keepers are just fun, and I imagine the black-and-white thread on it 🙂 (I still have some !)
They have a lightness but they are strong and will carry the story forward.
I like the pink; it ushers in light and reminds me of my childhood. It’s a good spot to be in, that child side.
Color is so personal isn’t it? It’s a story in itself.
I’ve been in this house for 21 years. I painted all the walls except the bathroom, my bedroom and what I call the “Nest” studio/kind of office space with big work table. Two summers ago I painted the bathroom, but my bedroom and Nest studio are still bright, boring white. I like color.
Love the WTF? thread keeper, cuz, seriously.. 🤪
I like boring white! 😂
I moved to this house 3 years ago and still have bright pink walls in both bathrooms. The ability to go slow, at a manageable pace, has been a gift. Also, one must prioritize. I no longer have a bright blue living room!
Loving those paper beasts!
I’ve never been one for colored walls except when I was a crazy teenager and painted my walls black! 😂
Love the little thread critters; they make me smile.
Keep on hoping! Not sure if that is derived from hop or hope but do both just in case.
Ok!!!
Good start! 💙
Going!
I totally love your two creatures!!! Such living expressions! And how the Magic Feather can replace the WTF? that seems to rule our days!
I am weary. Your thread keepers brought me a smile. Thank you!
Yes, me too…
We need to move toward the positive!
Indeed! Am sewing a poppet right now, embroidered with Trees!
Nancy – yes! When the world feels too heavy, I make little “quirks” – small beings heavily embroidered with all the stitches I don’t typically use in bright colors I don’t use. And then I set them free by giving them to anyone whose eyes light up at the sight of them. It’s how I keep hope…that there is still whimsy and joy alive in so many of us.
oh how fun, I like that
