Ding! Good Morning.
I slept well for the first time in a month.
It's raining but I am going to walk in the forest. Less pollen when it rains.
Green Tea is helping my lungs.
The Magic Cloth is on the ottoman by the chair. I looked at it for a long time this morning. It seemed to look back. Speaking of looking back, the series I recorded about the making of this cloth, The Magic Diaries, was added to the selection of old classes in the Forever Zone, for those of you who are signed up. I have taken the Zone off sale for a while as I recover from illness. I will take some time to update it's description in the shop.
I'm not done with this cloth.
The sewing chair needs mending. Too much sitting? Seems like an eye. What if I consider that form?

“I’m not done with this cloth.” That is hope and determination. You have done your time with illness; may you be well every day going forward.
The big cloths, are metaphors…
I fell in love with your original photo of the tulip petals & the silk — so much possibility. And now together as one! Exquisite! The magic of color and the larger-than-human world….
It felt so good to give them life again.

That painterly effect is so dreamy 💜🩷
Magic Cloth 💙🖤🤍
Sleep….oh it’s sooo great when it’s good 😴
It’s great to layer very thin dyed silk
Magic Cloth needs some attention.
Sleep heals
A good day for a walk in the forest breathing the fresh air.
Giggling visualizing an eye in the chair looking up at a crotch..
Ha! It’s off to the side so maybe not…
Jude~ I saw an eye right away too…must have been hanging out with you for a while, eh?! haha
Ha!

👋
Yay! So glad you’re feeling better. Love the color from the tulips on silk.
Just a little color from plants helps my mood.
Hurray for sleep! Ah … precious sleep.😴
Really!
Fabric turned out great! Eyes are always good… always new things to see.
i love dyeing very sheer silk, I can layer it for deeper color, like watercolor.
There are eyes everywhere here.
I’m so glad you are feeling better. You have been missed. I’ve had to wear a mask outside lately. Pollen has been incredible. And teeny tiny ticks. Oy!
Yes it’s a very heavy spring!
Hello, Jude. 🍀
Lovely cloth so light & airy!
Tell me about that mask!?
From Indonesia. Screaming seems appropriate so I have it next to me
Very!!!
Yahhhhhhhhgggh
😱
Great results from the tulip steam. I slept well last night for the first time in a long time, too. Maybe something in the ethers was disturbing our sleep, sure is a lot of angst floating around.
Maybe it was the drop in temperature and pollen. Cooler weather this week. I don’t mind.
Sure is a lot of tension in the air.
Nor do I!
Glad you were blessed with sleep. Nothing like a walk in the woods bathed in rain- magical. Enjoy!
Yes sleep and rain walking, I feel better.
Lovely colors from your tulip petals. Green tea and honey always work for my throat too 👍🏻
Very thin plant stained silk can be used like painting, love it.
Yes the magic Cloth is looking right out from the photo🥰. Love the idea of painterly tulips out of silk. Heal up, Jude and belated Happy Mother’s Day!
Thanks!
Beautiful, visual and tactile pieces Jude. Stay warm. Blessings
A bit chilly for May today, maybe I’ll build a little fire.
Oooooo, Jude! Your steamed Tulip petals are lovely! 💙💜💛
I don’t like plant prints much, I just like staining. I will do another layer of color.
Old denim. Ahhhhhhh!
Indigo ages so well.
as we were restoring our cottage in the forest, our contractor told us, “it will tell us what it wants.” for me, the joy of the mending process, whether a cottage, a sewing chair or a soul, is the thought-catching involved. LOVE the thought of an eye on your sewing chair! “seeing” is so much a part of mending… the tulip petals on silk, just dreamy!… x
Life, It’s all a patchwork, in perspective 🙃
Jude, so glad you are up and moving, improving! ❤️🩹
Love the eye idea on the chair!
And will look at the Forever Zone again
💙💙💙💙
Pollen season is mostly done here, so am always outdoors tinkering in the gardens.
My shovel is my “needle” as I weave a tapestry of flowers…ha!
It feels good to be alive!
