How is it?

And so it goes. I got sick.

Not Covid, but I keep checking because I feel like shit.  So I  isolated myself from the family and grandkids.  Just to be safe.  Luckily for me it's been way warm again and I have space to roam and get fresh air in between periods of rain and coughing.

I just had to see what all the noise was.

On the way back...

A reminder that not all of us made it through the winter.  Such a beautiful disappearing.

I'm a bit ruffled by  this sudden flu-like thing that hit me, along with the never ending shit show in the news.  But hey,  it's almost April and  all things shall pass.  I did a little thought catching.

The how is it question has nothing to do with the drawing and I was going to talk but I have no voice right now, So later.  I like the drawing though.  I'll work with it.

You have the most stunning space to care for yourself in…nature in all it’s dimensions. Sending healing vibes your way. 💜

The circle of life; some going, some coming. We had a nest of bluejays hatch out in our cypress tree. Such characters.
    Love blooms indeed.

Hearing our TINY tree frogs for the 1st time was thrilling and unbelievably throaty. Kids hauling off buckets of tadpoles like they won something free. Good you can open up the sinus outdoors, such a helpful healer.

playing the pond symphony while viewing the “beautiful disappearing” filled me with great peace. the circle of life… and of love. never ending. your drawing… x

I so hope you and ragmates get better very soon. It’s interesting that Louise Hay considers coughs “a desire to bark at the world….see me….listen to me” I wish more people WOULD listen to the wisdom I find here.
    ‘A beautiful disappearing’…oh gosh, yes. 🤎
    Love your drawing 🌷
When we heard the frogs last year, we thought they were ducks at first. Love them so…they’re so cheering. 💚🐸

sorry you are not well, you are not alone , lots of people are suffering from all kinds of weird illnesses, the energy around is not good, it’s like the whole world is suffering , going thru something, a time of letting go and not looking back, what’s done cannot be undone, a friend tested positive for Covid for over a month.I was down for a long time and then it suddenly left me now I live every day from a place of inner peace and joy. I have given up the drama, mine and others.Feels great.

I hope you feel better soon!
    I loved the frog song
Sad about the deer, but we each have our time
    I forgot about that song!

  8. Jude I so much hope you start feeling better
    🐸🐸🐸

Hope you continue to mend. Love the drawing…inspiring us even while you’re sick. Love the song too. ❤️🙏

Argh, do we ALL have the stupid cough thing?! I’ve had it for almost 2 weeks now, ugh. Energy is back, but I still hack a lot.
The frog chorus and the beautiful Return to the Earth of the deer give me a sense of wonder, and peace, and a joy that some things still are on the path, as they should be… unlike all the other tilting garbage.
Today we had some thunder and 6.5 inches of rain (!!!) and our property is a lake, a swamp, a quagmire.
    Yipes.
    More to come tomorrow.
I’m glad the.henhouse is elevated, there was 6″ of water swirling around it this evening.
Might be time for a rowboat. Ha.
    Hope you feel better asap!!

In the ten years we lived in the hill country three deer died on our property … and ever after, the grass and wildflowers would be thicker and greener in the shadow of their passing (sad note: our former house is on the market … the pictures of the renovations that were done by the people who bought it from us broke my heart)

  12. I do love the quacking of wood frogs, and you have a peeper already, too. I haven’t heard either yet, but I’ve still been a bit too hobbly for much time outside still. Sorry you’re sick, ugh, hope it passes soon.

  13. well that sucks. we had it here and the cough is an ongoing gift so rest well and …listen to those frogs!! amazing!
witnessing to the current deconstruction is enough to make most of us ill.
    so many things…disappearing!

What a beautiful photo of earth claiming the spoils of winter.
Also a reminder of the awesomeness of nature.
I’ve seen so many decaying corpses of deer this spring emerging from the melting snow. Yet still huge young herds of deer in open fields romping like puppies so happy for spring.
I will reflect on your question: how is it “things” become important?
    Hope you’re feeling well soon!

  15. Jana

Be well…may some of the emerging spring energy, the sweet green of New Life, arise in you too.

Looking forward to the evolution of the sketch.

I hope you kick that soon, doesn’t seem fair to be held back like that. I picked up something recently and can’t kick the cough. Tornado season here. We watched a big storm from our front porch. The songbirds are letting us know it’s over now. Nature’s noises tell stories.

What will stay with me from this post, Jude, is the description of the deer as “such a beautiful disappearing.”
Like capturing a most important transition in a moment. I don’t think I will ever forget that line. 💚
Take care of yourself, sweet Jude. Rest.

Jude~ Aw, rats. I hope you feel better quickly. I hear toads at the bridge. It is Always Worth a pause to listen. We saw a deer skull and top few vertebrae from the spine – all one piece – nothing else left at all.
Almost April indeed. I heard “April Come She Will” S&G on my way home today. And because it is almost April and whether you intended or not, I see a mother daughter in this drawing. Not sure if this is the version I heard, but it will do. 🙂

    Love the drawing 💙
Hope you feel better soon! I’ve had a cough hanging on for months now, and tired but other than that I’m fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Drink a cup of hot lemon water and a teaspoon of honey in it. It helps me get to sleep. 💙🕊️
