Story Legs

One tiny sunflower, not planted but completing it's life cycle.

it begins

Ya know, the weather has been almost too crazy to recognize season, but it's there. It is approaching mid August.  I heard it drop.

Some changes – like the seasons are so very subtle. And other changes – well not so much. I appreciate hearing how you are making an effort to stay open to all of it. ❤️

Hooray for the fall critter. It’s been 90s instead of 100 this week but I think it’s too soon to celebrate. The aspen trees in the high mountains haven’t started changing yet. Still more heat to come I’m thinking.

Yes, we’ve had leaves just curling up and dropping since the heat started in July. But now, they are looking different. It’s a more overall look, a weariness, or tiredness as you said.
I love the colors in Legs. Shades of Fall creeping in. My favorite time of year.

  4. Noticing and appreciating your three faces taking everything in. And really like the cloud like stitching around the edge of the moon cloth. Stories make things manageable and worthwhile. Hope things sort out soon for you.🩷

  5. Jude~ This self is a beauty! I like the audio (my eyes also get tired after too much online reading) while looking at the photos. Today I studied various parts of this self, really liking the face, what you did with the moon and the feathered background. I love your so soft watercolors. I imagine their look on very old and worn soft paper, to feel that…almost like cloth paper and painting. sigh.
I’ve noticed the ever so slight light change, but we’re still hot 80° at 10:00 am.

Lv acorn hats, searching the shell that fits as if a big win, or a game. May your week offer easy answers and some smooth sailing! A skin chk, another year wiser, more high heat index. Rather be a squirrel scrambling tree to tree! 🐿️

Subtle signs of changes to come are like tiny gifts. I love the warmth and richness of this stray self. The colors and textures and patterns make me want to shout for joy! Thank you. Have a splendid day!

I am noticing the seasonal change too ..even tho summer drones on and we’re weeks, possibly months away from cooling weather, I see the mood change of the leaves and light…the squirrels are busy here, chewing all the green pinecones!
I wonder which one of us ragmates sent that embroidered silk? It could’ve been me(??) but I don’t remember either! Hah! 😆
Maybe someone will jump up and say, I did!❤️

Have a lovely day, Jude. Glad you still have the peace of mind to notice the beauty of the morning.
    💙💚🧡
(Ps I am soooooo “down the rabbit hole w the Boris project; borderline obsession HAH!)
    Eek.

I like that little face in the background on paper 🙂
And yes to feeling the slight change in nature. I am torn between relief and sorrow for summers end to come.
I like audio mixed in since my eyes are going bad fast…. but i am just thankful for anything you do Jude

Yeah, the paper selves are in waiting . Yes to the sorrow and to tired eyes. Editing is really hard for me, too much screen time.

  10. With the glossary…you could list key words at the bottom of the post. And yes, there are signs everywhere. Season changing…more stories. 🙂 Hope your day is good!
