A day is a circle really.
Until it isn't. So far so good.
If you live long enough, change is more apparent. Even blogging and internet presence is changing. I often think I can't keep up. But then I think the struggle is with myself (selves), and nothing else.
Maybe making the circle smaller is my answer.
I am so glad I did not mow, done with that, except for a path.

yes yes, done with that, except for a path. !! These are the straightest, strongest looking daisies i can recall seeing…I don’t think that perception is only something appearing ‘for’ me… But I also just noticed you posted this on my b’day, which feels like a personal gift. It’s a wonder and a Grace that things can be both personal, and beyond universal–a Unity Eternal. Daisies do seem eternal, small (humble) e. ( as well as transient.) I am often reminded of my mother – who only left in 2022 – when i enter into/upon your posts. She and I shared a love of textile and stitch, and your blog and posts. <3
i love that you brought your mother here today…
i love that you brought her! thankyou. Was looking in your threadcrumbs, since i can now finally, as an elder, afford to purchase something, and would like to, at some point. was quite taken with your recent cloud ‘scraps’.
So where I’m at at the moment, no focus, going round in circles. So what you say, make the circle smaller! Now that I will do!!
a dot work as a reset for me
The flower you’re making is surreal it’s so pretty.
Good thought for me today, how surreal beauty is, that feeling about something.
Oh my gosh, the straight sturdiness of those happy flowers!! Maybe ‘keeping up’ isn’t what it’s sold to be. I totally understand.
They just appeared, so tall and proud.
I suppose we keep up if we need to, there might be many reasons. I can’t find any at the moment.
Your tiny, blue stitches add so much, Jude. There’s both an intention in the stitches, and also a randomness. Those different stitches feel like we too can go from intentions, to moving out towards something unknown to us in the moment.
And those blue stitches surround a circle, perhaps our life …..full with our moments, and all connected.
You really know how to stitch words together. I made a video about this one but it would not load. Funny as if it did not want to be explained by me. Your take is beautiful.
We were just talking about how much change we have seen, some good but most not really necessary. Dad lived to 104 and I think of the changes he saw; an amazing man — he embraced technology.
I am small and simple. Like daisies. Walk lightly on the Earth.
Love this. We need daisies 🌼
my mom embraced technology in her own small way, she loved having a cell phone so she could call me from the beach. But she was like a daisy too.
Surprised ! I love how you used this cloud and in a 3-D way !!
it just seems to look 3D, probably it is floating there without being stitched through. gave it some sort of lift.
So many stitches on that flower moon…..
My favourite flowers are the ones that just show up without human interaction 🙂
Me too.
Glad you didn’t mow and we all get to share in the beauty of your meadow of daisies. I love the slower life!
yeah, a new slow show every day.
Who started this mow thing anyway? It’s such a a noise maker. It’s not up to me, but if it were there would only be paths. Victoria 🙂
Yeah, not sure, but it is non stop noise around here. The only positive is that it creates jobs I guess
Daisies are my most favorite flower; their simplicity is so rich to me. When I was engaged to my husband, knowing that green is my favorite and daisies my favorite flower, I don’t know how he did it but for Christmas, he found and bought me a green robe with daisies as the pattern. It is one of my all time favorite gifts.
Unbeknownst to me, when i was pregnant, he told his brothers of my love of green and daisies and they gifted us with a green crib with daises carved on top! We of course, had twin girls so in time, another crib was needed. This time, my brother in law used a family crib, cleaned it, painted it green and free handed some wobbly daisies that so touched my heart…Daisies not grown in a wildflower field but grown in a field of love…
Lovely story Marti. They are a favorite too. So simply “flower”.
Keep the circles small for as long as necessary. The good thing about them is they are always (ok, sometimes, occasionally, mostly) easy to expand when you’re ready. Flexibility is key. So is the ability to change with the needs of the situation. Watch the grass grow daisies is a nice option!
Yeah, spring offers so many restful options.
Yes! I’m like making smaller too.
And circles are always good 👍🏻
💙🕊️
Love the daisies!
Flowers are fancy circles.
Daisies always make me smile. 🙂 Smaller can be a very good thing.
They are so simple.
Love your flower moon! & Your daisies!
I have a T-shirt that says “no mow, no spray” ( it’s really about the sides of the roads) but people still look at me weird…but I’m used to that! 🤣
I’m trying to create a wildflower meadow in the neighbor’s “back 40” —we’ll see how it goes from now till next Spring.
Oh! I hear geese overhead right now!
Cool!!
Anyway….i’m going very slowly this week…that’s ok, are we in any hurry?
Nope. I am back to snail mode.
Me too!
🐌💚
🙃
daisies! and such straight stems. grass where i live is mowed every 2 weeks which isn’t too bad.
this year we seem to have an abundance of clover.
Ain’t they great? I have so much wildflower activity here, I decided to just watch…
No mo’ mow! I like that. Those wild Daisies are circles in the green. Lovely. Like your Evolving Flower Moon. Tonight!!
Here it comes!
