Just Playing around...
With circles mostly but I will get into that in more detail when I begin posting in the Forever Zone again...
Somehow I strayed ( that's me ) into a Total Eclipse of the Heart, but there is a story that goes with that too. Seeing, after all, is all about light and dark.
For now though, just Eclipse Day.

Oh Jude, the televised pathway of the eclipse made me think of you. I knew when you were watching from upstate and it made me feel close. I also knew you would delight me with a shape that you use often. Lo and behold, there it was this morning. And then the orb morffed into a heart!! You brighten my life.!!
For some reason, I thought… a heart is a kind of circle…💛
we called them drop cakes and got them at Weismantel’s Bakery on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola … they were almost too big for child-sized hands to hold … the best ones slightly crisp at the edges but still tender in the middle … nibbled first from the chocolate side and then the vanilla, always wondering which one to leave for the last bite …
I came up with my own recipe years ago … and now I’m thinking I should dig it up and try making some eclipsed black-and-whites …

Didn’t get to see this eclipse, but I’ve been enjoying remembering past ones that I’ve seen. Thinking about what an amazing thing our universe is… Circles are endlessly fascinating.

Contrast makes life interesting. Clear as a bell here but we only see about 35%. Still interesting. The only effect on animals that I have seen so far is my indoor cats caught a mouse. Haven’t seen one of those in many years.
Should be about 80% here…

Completely cloudy here at the moment, but we were only supposed to see a fraction of the eclipse. You have beautiful views here though.
Clear as a bell and although not that close to perfect, good enough..
