The eclipse will only be about 35% here but I will still be out watching it–something special and out of the ordinary.
I like Soul-O’s attitude; misty days are for napping.
Crazy snow in Wisconsin…just weird. I remember very clearly that when I was about ten years old, we had to make some sort of strange cardboard box at school so we could look at the eclipse….they warned us that we would lose our eyesight if we looked at it without the box. It scared me, so I thought, “If it can do that, I don’t need to look at the eclipse at all”. It was sort of an “so there!”attitude. But to this day, anytime anyone mentions an eclipse…that day in school immediately comes to mind. I must have been a haughty little thing. HA!
Your eclipse is perfect! I am not in the path of totality but will take what I can and know it is happening.
We had thunderstorms in the desert Again! last night.
The wet flowering bushes glistening and so much yellow! And the smell!
Love that eclipse!
Yesterday, I listened to folks that had seen a total eclipse as children, what they remember from it and what, if any, lasting impacts it left on them.
Interesting.
Although we are in the upcoming eclipse’s line, it appears that it may be cloudy that day. No matter. It will nevertheless get still, and dark, and quiet. That’s what I’m looking forward to…the magic of that moment, almost spiritual…
Love your small cloth eclipse. The color came out wonderfully.
Sometimes it’s the simplest things that bring me joy.

Yeah, some newness…

Oh, I remember the same!
What you can make from a circle, rimmed in lightness! Can’t wait to feel the energy.
Circles are really something…
Love circles .. little mandalas 🙏🌸
Yes….
Your post reminds me of how everything is connected to stories. And the eclipse- how it reminds us that we’re all part of the same story.
Yes, we all have stories and so it seems we might be chapters in a bigger one.

I will imagine that.
we are in the path of totality, but clouds and rain are in the forecast … even so, I am anticipating the mid-day darkness
I’ll take what I can get…
Here in Kingtson ON we are expecting 500.000 people…and I will stay home… 28 km away… and hope for a hill or escarpment to stand alone on…
Yeah, exactly…
the eclipse, yes it’s the sensing of it and that particular silence and stillness.
and the unexpected departure from form
Love that eclipse!

Interesting.
it was just a circle until this morning when I thought oh!
it is interesting. what we remember.
Oh it does! It is amazing really, sometimes how just a little is all that is needed. Rain doesn’t ever seem to work that way…
association changes so much, relationship again

Yes, dark sun, I want to sense it.
