Ding

There was time, in December, I "made time".

all of them just going

I let many selves form and left them near each other so they could maybe give me a sense of wholeness. It all started with seamBack here.  Connection.  And the torn, and the many forms that took.  There were slow changes with no rush to any desired form.  This reinforced the idea of the Deep Pool of Thought.  The soup.  And the random selection of thoughts that might give new form.  Like the Nothing's basket, loose scraps, loose thoughts.  When I bring them forward they get swept up into the the context of the day which provides direction and maybe usefulness.  Wordless up until I try to explain, even to myself..   I think a lot of it has to do with making the time to sort through it all, giving each small piece a chance to audition for the puzzle at hand. That liquid puzzle.

the growing

They are still here. December, January, what does it matter really?  Here, I pulled this one out because of Tree. Tearing is part of Growing I thought... and so the thought took form. And I might continue.

Ding. Another dawning

They say maybe snow... and well, words aren't working well this morning. Let's just leave it at Ding!

When the news gets to be too much, it is such a gift to have this space to return to and remember there are still places of calm and peace in the world. Thanks for your presence.

The shadows on the tree piece…so magical!
We might get some snow too. Slows everything down and feels like a empty canvas to me.
Although shy i think i would like to join the circle. Comfortable that it is in my/our imagination ;-))
    Stay cozy, warm and creative

I love ikat cloth, the play of dark and light.
I look forward to the emptying that snow brings.
Comfortable in our imagination, I love that, Shy too,

  3. Jude~ Yes. Yes to this. Where you begin: “There were slow changes with no rush to…up until I try to explain, even to myself…” These are good words for how I was feeling about posting/writing. It seems when I start, the words and images just fall out in a somewhat organized manner…the process. It is all about the process.
These beasts are amazing alone, but even more so as they stand together. May we all stand together for a very long time.

The trigger I think, is doing. Doing something. Which a kind of selecting one little thought which makes a kind of gate for more. Once we begin, we are like a filter selecting what might flow from our fist choice. But we must begin. I think creative minds are simply in the habit of always beginning. which of course, in my experience creates another soup…

words fail me when i try to describe the beauty of what u’ve created here, jude. the time u’ve made for us… the thoughts caught, the imagery, the community… like jen, i eagerly await the open doors i find here that take us beyond the veil. that u’ve allowed each of us to be your traveling companions. to experience extreme wonder. intense joy. connection. a single word rises to the surface. love. x

“giving each small piece a chance to audition for the puzzle at hand. That liquid puzzle.” This will give me a new slant on my overflowing scrap basket! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself in your words and work!

Almost every day, an anticipation grows as I open my inbox …is there a post from Jude…?
    YES!
    (WHEEeeeeee!!)
Always love what is shared here, by you Jude, & all the Ragmates.
Somehow, I picture us in stitched clothing and robes ( spirit robes, yeah!) all coming out of our patchwork in the woods to the fire circle to discuss Jude’s “thought of the day”.
We come, we go, we leave a trail of seeds …
    What a community!

Your thought processes and how they translate to cloth are one of my greatest joys in life! I always feel like we are sitting by the fire, sipping a piping hot cup of tea or coffee, and living your art!

You and your thoughts are a balm to start my day. Blessings in the form of warmth and quiet laughter wished for you on this day.

One of my favorite patches thus far…and I love that you create and then revisit, revealing those connections beneath the surface—like roots!—Forgive me, but the “seam” is like a womb!
