Going. Behind the Scenes

yesterday

balanceI am here today, to open the site , to make sure all is working after some updates, etc. I still have some more updating to do through WordPress. My old theme continues to be an issue, but changing it, I fear, will be worse.  So there will be ups and downs here until I am done.  Just behind the scenes stuff.

My New Year's resolution has been settled.  No more Bitching. It feels great just saying it.

keeper of the threads

The thread nest.  Somehow I imagine Soul-o has a bit to do with the tangle.

life is a tangleEvery year around this time,  I sit at length and sort through the chaos that has taken over the thread nest.  Untangling.  What if I leave it this way?  Make untangling part of the process instead of a ritual...

Blogging will resume on New Year's Eve.  I still post pics now and then on Instagram and Facebook.  Anything else that needs to be said will be posted under news on my Home Page.  You all take care... see you later.

Thanks for all you share throughout the year! Enjoy these last short days of 2023! (The cat is innocent. I’m sure of it.)😹🪺🐦‍⬛

The thread nests are little art pieces themselves . . . a tiny installation, I love it! Enjoy the winter stillness & thanks so much for all that you share with us!

  3. back in my work-a-day life, I had an unspoken rule-for-self that any complaint could only be voiced with a do-able solution … harder to accomplish in these days when the complaints are global and governmental in scale … thank goodness we can still vote … and perhaps bitch less in the meantime

It appears Soul-O isn’t done with the threads. I have cats; I know that look. He’s waiting for you to leave the room or go to bed.
Take your time and enjoy the holidays.

Haha, a thread nest is so recognizable !!! But no cats around anymore to tangle them.
When I sorted by colour (reds with oranges, yellows, blues with greens) I make a braid per colour, that is a bit easier to manage (but : there will be a new thread nest in the making when I start stitching . . . !)

It’s the time of the winter Solstice, return of the light. Happy stitching Jude. I think I’ll follow your example and say ‘no more bitching’. Take care, be well. Gratitude and Hugs.

Gosh, Soul-o looks up to Something there! heehee
Process or ritual…I’d not thought of it quite that way, but I have had to reconsider my calendar ritual moving into 2024. So, as I type this, I am thinking that maybe an honored ritual can be altered, yet remain an important ritual…and that maybe we (me) can shift the timing of such things? Maybe we can be flexible and still honor what we want/need to?
Sorry, just rambling here. Love seeing all those lil nests of color 🙂

I swear there’s a little devilishness in those eyes keeping tabs on the thread basket! I can just imagine a maelstrom of threads and paws and teeth. 🙂
