back to #2 ...unfold, unfurl

Seemingly ( seamingly?) torn but maybe just opening.  To change. There was a digital drawing here.  Which I may not have shown...

still there but allowing passage

spaced out, a kind of open-ness

The beast is fashioned from a bit of Deb Lacativa cloth, wild it is. And the moon, indigo resist dyed over some tin can and tannin stained muslin which I always want to call time passing cloth.  I have created a lot of it over the years.

The cold November rain still hangs on in December.  The birds gather like stray leaves here, on the bared dogwood, outside the kitchen window.

birds seem like leaves

I am pretty sure there are 9 here.  I laugh. Really? Ha.

Nine friends came to stay…. I just started using the thread bead stitch on my sun cabin block to make a kind of sky around the sun. I didn’t even realize you were using thread beads on the wings here — I thought it was fabric until I listened to your recorded words ! maybe subliminally I knew what it was. Once again, thanks for the inspiration! 😄 And I am getting better at the thread beads – they take a little practice.

  2. I can’t find the words for how she moves me, and I am imagining her moving through your trees and leaf birds. And now I am thinking of Janie and her leaf birds. This is so much.

how the universe within us is as infinite as the universe outside of us. when the two connect or overlap in some way, it takes my breath away. your creations seem “familiar”, embodying a truth that resonates deeply… OF COURSE there are 9 birds in the trees! ha!

Love wandering around with you and your thoughts …
It IS funny how we perceive change as an exchange…and, yet, it’s all still within us!
This is great; Philosophy and Stitch!
    🤩💖
And that pic of the bare trees and nine ! Of COURSE!!) birds
    WOW!!

  5. Looking at this and considering what we keep inside us, what needs to be let out…love this. The birds in the tree…so funny, the ninth one was hard to find until I looked closer.

Hauntingly beautiful photo, Jude. I love those kinds of days…they seem muffled in soft cloth.
And your Cloth is Imagination Itself…nine birds fulfilling the Dream fantasy.
