where was I?

Still calling it  The Journey Back to Love

trying to fit in

apart but together

Basically, everything is floating around,  and I am just trying to imagine how it all might come together.   Sometimes I feel so alone.  And I like it.  Sometimes I don't.   I asked myself what is love?  I answered:

Love is  the way to connection.

So what I love here, is how each little patch remains a patch, carrying around its' own set of boundaries and here I am with the goal of  respecting those in  some way, making it all into some sort of floating patchwork that might let it hold together while remaining free. Loose. Loose enough.

I made a drawing in my head. I am working from my 72 year old memory.

looking and seeing...

It's November, there was a freeze and the red tailed hawks are enjoying the longer view.

When I see a moment in time captured so beautifully as this patch of blue with a bird and those bare trees with a background of cloudy soft grey.. I think.. how is it we happen to witness this at just the right moment! So glad you did and shared it here!

I love the feeling of those beautiful, sweeping stitched lines . . . making it feel like everything is somehow connecting even now. Thanks so much for sharing your words & images, Jude!

Love the way that happens. In the middle of projects and cooking and reading and playing with friends. What day is it and what did I mean to accomplish. I meant to savor.

Jude, thank you so much for your words. So often I read your words and think ‘that’s how I feel’ but wouldn’t have been able to express those feelings/thoughts as well as you do. Thank you! Sending lotsa love.

lot of times we are just saying the same thing in different ways. It is so great when we recognize these thing in others, we are all here trying to say so many of the same things.

I feel like the difference between loneliness and being alone is the intention. I spent a lot of this year isolated by necessity and that was lonely sometimes because I did not get to choose to be alone, which I often do. A lot of progress gets made in our alone time, right? Until it doesn’t. I’m curious to see what you do with this piece next. I feel like you will find a connection and it will be some way I would never have expected. (no pressure).

Yes, choice is there, we often make a lot of excusesto hide it. Thank you for revealing this important point.
This one puzzles me, but it is a good reminder.

So true..atleast most of the time..I wouldn’t trade that aloneness 🙂
In a way, it’s also love enjoying its connections within and out.
    What a stunning photograph.

Oh Jude you are not alone. We, your tribe are all here with you and love you. I am fairly new here, but I love the community spirit that runs through this tribe., and eagerly await each new post.

Feeling the very same way….I see a blue beast in the sky, floating by…legs/feet trailing on the left….
Chilly here, too! –but no freeze (& hopefully not tonight, either!😬🤞)
I’m always amazed at how you can tell such a rich story in the simplest terms. Beautiful.

Each component is an individual like us, we all try to fit in and sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we are not allowed. There is a dialogue between the borders where the sweep of the small stitches travel across those borders but not across all of the image allowing us to connect if we choose to.
A longer view is much needed.
