just weaving thoughts

What stands and what moves through.

me and the thing that stands

1

how thought filters vision

Nana self keeps going, maybe more slowly but surely...

she becomes weave

So it seems talking is my best way forward. No editing, less screen time.

i’m glad u love to talk, because i love to hear your thoughts ‘n weave them into my day. thinking about blinking. that temporary interruption of the visible realm. and how the nana self sees beyond the veil…

I love the black and white checks as Nana Self’s paws. Visually, she and the background take turns in asserting themselves. And as you say, she seems to be flowing through.

    Hello Jude –

Brilliant observations. I absolutely saw the correlation between the first & second images before listening to you speak about it. That shot of the warped thread will stay with me for a while. And one of the aspects that ties the two images together is the fact that the warp in both cases is caused/perpetuated by light.

Have just happened up on your work via social media this a.m. – something that can absorb me too much so have been careful not to live there too much. Will be pulling back from that realm again soon – had lapsed there more recently due to injury and sufficient immobility to legitimize the lapse.

But glad it led me to your work. I sense the integrity and fullness of the practice – especially struck by your colorist sensibility and your being tapped into a flow of output – your ability to register something true that comes from within. Also: I am struck by your capacity to generate palpable luminosity and dark/light contrast in a medium that is not typically associated with illumination – apparently you speak light with great fluency.

    Thanks & best wishes –

    – Amy
