A thought caught after layers of days.
Maybe I can look at everything like that. shyness
And...
The Malabar made seeds.
This season reminds me of thinning. The magic of disappearing in terms of growth and evolution. The movement, the change. Then wait to see what survives. I have officially begun the process of going back in my online content. To thin it out and let it become seed for new growth. A disappearing but not really. I feel like a compost pile...

Thank you.
thank you for coming by…
maybe with cloth, it’s a co-creation between the you and the fabric scraps ThemSelves…creates.
Create Form.
with drawing…is direct, brain/Mind/Self through pencil, for me, and there on the paper is
a thought, a feeling.
i have loved thinking about this this morning
I think they are both the same in terms of thought catchers for me, but the speed at which drawing takes form makes the connection seem more direct. But then if I keep working on the drawing, it becomes more like cloth making. But then…the initial doodle can form so fast. It almost seems mindless sometimes.
Thank you.
Your posts give me much.
Life is presently rather chaotic…so thank you for this lovely quiet, harbour, which I rest in and gain something each time…often keeping inspiration well kindled.
Hope all is well soon enough…
Thanks.
Soon enough , yes.
A compost pile. Perfect, even though the image made me laugh aloud. Just glad I didn’t have a mouth full of coffee.
Ha! I laughed even thinking it.
✨Listening to the Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin, on Libby.
“Inner knowing.” “Moments that take your breath away.” “Look for clues.” “Play close attention to what’s happening around you.” “Look for clues that point to new ways to develop new ideas.”
💖Rather than a performance, your thoughts are clues!
We are all part of the compost pile! Indeed that’s a great metaphor.
it’s a quite humble self…
They say Halloween is when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. I took down some more spent tomato vines this morning and dug up some burdock that’s flourishing in my potato patch.
I took down some blighty tomato vines, and moved one of my compost piles. Trimmed back some lemon balm and pulled out the remaining madder which I dislike as a plant… I will use it and move on.
I like all the imagining connected with Halloween.
Jude (Deb) – such good thoughts on audience. I had thoughts on this after a recent meeting…so, if you? do you? impact an audience, for how long or just plain how does that work/last? Mmmm…
On another note, my comments have not been sticking & I give up. Another type of thinning, perhaps.
Yes, so many questions…
And yes, technology strikes again, thinning is a good way to think about it. I can’t worry anymore…
“I feel like a compost pile”. I like that! 💕
Curiosity is making me ask–are those berries good for dyeing?
I’ve tried, stains nicely but fades fast.
Audience is certainly what sets being online apart from journal keeping or more personal forms of sharing, especially on a level when something is being sold or taught. I also think about it terms of accountability. I’ll write more on my blog about this later. 🙂 And yes to thinning…love thinking about that.
yes, audience is a huge influence. It is what online is. It makes sharing into a kind of market place even if you are not selling or teaching. I look forward to your thoughts. We were talking about accountability here yesterday. How much opportunity there is for free education online, how much misinformation it also supports.
Thin is lighter…
Such a beautiful and timely metaphor, this thinning and becoming seed for new growth. Today I will thin the wild patch and prepare it for the planting of Milkweed seeds, Poppy seeds, and perhaps some Teasel seeds I’ve saved..
See what comes up…
yeah, it’s time…
