Floating

So it looks like another 2-4" of rain are possible as the next storm moves in, it just started raining. But all the chores are done.

We'd certainly be floating if we didn't live in this house on higher ground.  Still, I feel like building an ark.

It is an indoor day.  Weekend. Soul-0 has claimed the cloth I call Grow for now.  I will let them rest.

And speaking of floating, I looked up and realized that composition is often a lot about floating,  and I never really considered it much more than in passing.  I have certainly used it in story telling, but as a compositional element, not that much , consciously.

I'll think about it a bit, it's gonna be a long dark weekend.  And I am so in between  this and that, which is a kind of floating I guess.  And maybe that is all there is.

I cannot spell, oh well...

Still working on this painting from last year. Or was it longer?  It came back to me, the paper working, the sense of the time it takes to build an image, at least the time it takes me.

Have a good weekend.

Hope this doesn’t seem presumptuous, but would the nine patch over the fog house work better if the nine patch were flipped so the foggy brownish squares were over the house, the fog thinning in the next set of squares, then clearing at the top?

Not at all, you are thinking!…let’s consider that…I can flip what’s here or even make another 9 that works better with your concept.

i sooooo love your weaving into the cloth. now thinking about weaving into my weaving… also how the varied placement of each moon within its patch creates strong movement. my eye dances like a pinball…
