yes to the joy of the challenge ‘n dancin’ thru it! and pieced cards! there’s something about sewing cloth scraps onto a paper backing. it’s almost sculptural. how it can stand up on its own.
That point of not giving in to fear, keeping on going, is very telling for me.
Dr’s are trying to scare me into treatments which are poisonous and self serving. Stay on my path of finding the natural ways of healing osteoporosis and spinal stenosis. Semper fi.
For me fear is a momentary wake up call, to pay attention, but then to meet a challenge. Then… there is no point in living in it. After many years we should have quite bit to work with in order to know ourselves. especially when it comes to health. We must make the best decisions we can based on what we know. We win some and lose some and that is how it goes. It’s hard sometimes to just accept stuff and do the best you can. I stay way from extreme interference if I can. Your body, your decision. right? Medicine has become too much of a business , I trust it less and less. Eat well, rest well, work hard, know joy, avoid drama which builds stress, and keep moving. Dad’s words.
At first glance i thought that the sunflower was a mask made out of cloth.
And i do love seasons too. And at the end of every one of them i am so ready for the next one to start. All fresh and rested, ready to go. At this point ready for cozy fires, soup, candles, hot baths, a break from the gardenwork!.
Knowing i will be so ready for my hands to get back in the soil in spring.
And yes to colored leaves on your beautiful cloth!
Indeed it has… can’t wait till the temps drop tomorrow!
I often photograph flowers, especially Echinacea, in their dying throes. There’s beauty there, methinks!
Just made some more pieces for the piles I am arranging and rearranging. 🙂 Just being in the moment… So glad you got some sunlight.
yes, arranging and rearranging, that’s really it. Even furniture, I think I will do that today.
As always Jude, I adore when you put watercolor and stitch together on paper. Delightful. Hoping one day to own one of your paper/stitch pieces. xoxox
Hybrids, I finally remember what I was calling them. I had started so many and they are waiting…
Love this whole post ❤️👏🏻
That’s nice to hear!

The result I like, stitching through paper not so much.
“It is, what it is”…..just try to happily plow through it all with as little drama possible….I love all four seasons!
I think actually, I swing, maybe I always love the one that is right in front of me…

Today, may I look through what I think I know.
As I listened to your voice in the recording, I thought what a treasured archive all of your little snippets would be for your grandson.
I, too, love the challenges of autumn and winter. Those seasons seem to bring out the best in me in many ways.
yes, talking to the little one, we have arranged for something like that…
Beautiful photo you captured of the sunlight through your trees 🌞💚
Beautiful sunlight!
