Direction again

This base ( B is for that) was a sky strip cut off from the top of another larger piece ( you can see it here) when I decided to make it smaller. Around the time when my dreams got interrupted.

I began working again by turning it around, making it more of a pathwork.

There wasn't much thinking, just going.

Then I noticed, when I got there, that birds, they are not oriented correctly.

So, I thought,  I will cut them loose and turn them around.

Ok

Just going, Mending.

  1. Yes! I finally have a computer that lets me hear your recordings. I love the way this piece is evolving: the multiple evocations of the sun, including the sunflower, and the moon. The uplifting sense of earthly orientation to the whole universe….of daily life reaching to larger life.

The way you are going in this special cloth is so beautiful, has a mystical feel to it, very dreamy. Maybe the continuation of your interrupted dream?
Feels like a unique path you went down/up for sure. 💙

I really love everything in this Mending Evolution, Jude. Will it be a wall hanging or will it evolve with More?
I hope you’re feeling better by now. Best wishes.

Yes, a kind of rescue moment.
Definitely. a mend or amend to me who does give life but holding of breath prevents living.
So, I too rescue myself and breathe.
    Love the bird rescue bit😘

a meditation scroll, for sure. I’ve been obsessed/immersed with/in them for months. Where every thought, every stitch, every direction going is a meditation.

Hi Jude, just going, mended by going. Mending as evolution, going is evolution. It just is as simple as going isn’t it. How does it take a lifetime to realise that what you’ve been doing all this time is the big ‘it’. Keeping going too, a form of defiance. I tell myself after reading your grounding post, just going is enough, it always was. And actually its never too late to start it again. And somewhere I make sense. That’s why I like cloth, layers of meaning, always a route to sense making and finding the layers of how I ended up ‘here’. Thanks for the constancy Jude, reading every post.
