A is for A lot of rain.
But not the storm I expected. You know I love a good storm.
On the windshield this morning...
A new series perhaps... and a new version of Squares of Wear.
I saw a bear yesterday afternoon. No camera. Big, Black, fat. We shared a moment while just going.
The audio player wouldn't embed here this morning, let's hope that is not a trend. But let's not worry.

I love your randomness. It’s always fun to open your posts. Thanks
thanks for saying, I kinda enjoy being all over the place…
I love your A for acceptance. A moment with a wild bear must have been exciting.
I will be at our Capitol on Sat. Hope to see lots of people.

Every once in a while emojis are like a picture poem to me–when I have few words…
sometimes I feel like my symbols are like emojis. I might consider that a bit more.
No leaves turning or acorns falling here yet but we have a nice early rain going on. Sandal season is over.
Leaves sticking on the window drives the cat crazy.
I wear wool socks in my sandals all winter long unless it is too wet.
Sounds like the bear is good and ready for winter! Storm was rainy, but not quite as windy as expected, for which I am grateful!
yes, a happy bear.
Not really a storm here, but we did need the rain.
I LOVE your new “series” !!! What a great way to keep “it” going.
Acceptance is a GREAT word!
I have thousands of acorns in my yard! OMG! But no eco printing for me this year. boo hoo…
I like the idea too.
squirrels will be happy over there.
Aha! Lovely layering.
Big rain here. Finally. Two feuding cats both on the bed together this morning.
Here, that’s acceptance!
I think we need more of that!
We got our first sticking snow, heavy with moisture, on Sunday. A couple of inches. It is the beginning of the scraping the windshield season.
can’t wait for snow
Jude~ We had a big rain/wind storm last night! It was so loud and is still raining now. Wish I didn’t have to go out later. Wondering how the burn areas fared (we got evacuation alerts all day yesterday).
Your leaves are beautiful, stuck there like that.
expected a bigger storm, but enough rain. It’s been dry here too.
I just drove with them there.
We’re thankful for the rain but we are all watching the fire areas and hoping…
I’m seeing LOTS of acorns and pine cones this year here in Virginia…. wonder if we will have more snow! The leaves are changing here as well – love a crisp sunny autumn day but these last few are gray and drizzly!
collected a bin full of pinecones, great fire starters…
Love the block 💙
I hope you don’t have black bears come up to your house! 😬
they are around, haven’t seen any too close but I’m sure they do. They are usually after the trash, no trash here really except the compost, that is far enough from the house.
👍🏻
the wonderful thing about black bears is that they don’t much like humans. unless you’re feeding them!?! i’ve only seen three here, but i used to hike making lots of noise; sometimes bells.
Yes, I’ve never found them to be very aggressive. I love them, the way they move.
i walked out yesterday morning to find a golden orange maple leave on my doormat. autumn colors make me want to sing!
a black bear — how exciting. in nh a black bear with 2 cubs climbed a tree to nap in 2 houses from me. to share a moment would be so awesome.
I love bears, I love just knowing they share the same world.
A bear! We are well into fall here now. Acceptance is a great “A” word.
yes, I yelled hi!
Acceptance, yes, I needed to start there.
Love it!
me too, I can continue now.
Oh! Your wet, crimson Autumn leaves are beautiful, Jude! Your Acceptance patch, wonderful. I am currently stitching wool Autumn leaves onto linen…I’m finding local leaves, using them as patterns, and appliqueing them onto the linen. Such joy in this!
such a great season, the only thin I am missing this year is the acorns, so used to living with oaks, not too many around here, maybe I will walk into the forest and look.
We live in a giant Oak grove, though we are called Grapevine. This year is a banner year for acorns!
I always used them for tannin.
Sumac here, so that will do…
