“my arms are open to hug the future”, i love that Jude. Best aproach!
And i still imagine you in a little red home.
I am stunned to see paper to cloth especially in this one. Magic bunny
I remember you making this cloth. It’s such a joyful one, good that it has a home with children. 🙂 I am starting to feel a direction for all the “stuff” I have, that means some sorting here too. But then, it seems like I am always sorting…
As a newish follower, I am being reminded of so much. This is such a lovely way for me to start my day in the southern hemisphere. reflective, thoughtful and stimulating. Thank you.
‘Letting go of’ is far more powerful than ‘holding on to’, for me.
The one thing I know about the wealth of content we have created is that every time we say we are letting go of it all it goes off into liminal space somewhere and reorganizes itself and comes back to us all the more workable. We never lose it. Ourselves, and the work, are that resilient.
What a fabulous rabbit, and your talent for turning paper design into cloth!
Must be something in the air. I have taken up and washed all the table covers and lace things in my studio this morning, knowing that purging is next, and necessary. What a lot of stuff.
That rabbit is adorable. Of course they all are, but the live ones do eat a lot of really nice plants so there is that.
Sorting out and discarding way ahead of a move is a really useful ploy. Just the physical moving is a huge job in and of itself and having a bunch of things already decided on and dealt with is a real time and labor saver when the big move comes.
WoW…the transition from paper to cloth is see(a)mless….beautiful art.

We finally emptied the lock up of all our stuff, two weeks ago….it was exhausting, but feels SO good. Things were given away to friends and charity shops, sold, or thrown. We never want to have stuff again!! My cloth collection was the most difficult, but I reduced it greatly, and for now, what I can’t fit into Martha is in Mark’s parent’s garage.
Our Boy has Mark’s paintings.
Sending hugs to you and Soul-O xx
Yay, Jude & Soul-O!! Moving forward is a good thing. I love the bunny & the translation to cloth. To me, it feels really good to donate “stuff” . . . I know that it will bring joy to its new owner. I wrote down something you said today: “Sometimes letting go is the beginning of holding something new”. Beautiful, wise words . . . thank you for sharing!
The waning summer and approaching fall always brings memories and a slight melancholy for me …Looking back for a bit…and then a deep breath ( no cool fresh air here, yet, Ha!) and Moving Forward!!
Onward, eh, Jude!?
💚💙🤎
Like Soul-O, the cats here are napping also. 😻😻😻
And, Oh! How I adore the happy hare! 🐇
( The drawn design translated SO Well to cloth!)
I know I’ve said this many times before, but I really love your drawings. I’m really intrigued by the cloth version of the rabbit and hope you’ll talk a little about how you did that sometime. For now, I’ll just park it in my “Jude’s magic” category.
And, downsizing and letting go of stuff is hard. Been doing that myself for awhile now. My goal is to untether from the stuff so I’m nimble and ready for whatever is next.
Lynda💕
Glorious days, indeed! So welcome. Love, love seeing the rabbit and it’s translation on cloth. Yay Soul-O 🧡 Lots of letting go of stuff here, too. Feels good. I have a load of stuff in the car to bring to Good Will 🙂
That sorting and thinning can be quite overwhelming. I’m glad you have leaned into it and I’m enjoying the things you find to share. I have just moved my mom-outlaw and she moved in a huff and without any thinning. Paper artist in an upstairs apartment. I’m a bit traumatized by stuff right now. ❤️❤️Soul-o what a comfort and relief.
That rabbit is beautiful, alert and ready to leap!
Sorting helps me with overwhelm. After too much busyness and too many people I want calm and simplicity.
Soul-o, peaceful soul.

Letting go of the original…there is so much to that.
Love imagining Wend and her children having this rabbit cloth as a choice. 🙂

Isn’t that so true? Even if it’s thoughts!
We go way back don’t we?
It’s part of the creative process I think…sorting, considering, problem solving. All of it. That we do and I love that!
Yes, it’s all one thing. I’m think just by being alive we are creative.
I love that too!
Wishing you many happy adventures on your journey Jude 🙏🌷

‘Letting go of’ is far more powerful than ‘holding on to’, for me.
There is a balance I think. We let go of holding…but then, maybe we hold onto letting go somehow.
And thank you for being a travelling companion…

love this…looking very much forward to watching your process with this
I really need this crossover.
Your illustrations amaze and delight Jude!
I love that u love them, it means a lot.
I have that pot — but I suspect yours holds dye while mine holds canning jars.
I love that you are artistic in so many mediums.
Yeah, I never do the canning thing although I have considered it. Had to make use of the pot!

I just want to keep what I can share or make useful.
Floating… perfect.
Don’tcha love floating?

Yeah, a lot of prep going on here.
your paper rabbit is absolutely gorgeous, and then you managed to translate her into cloth, wow! love them both xXx
Looking back, I am quite amazed that it translated so well.😂
WoW…the transition from paper to cloth is see(a)mless….beautiful art.

My arms are open to hug the future, however it forms. There is always design mending.
He’s a beautiful bearer of change Jude. And your audio “bridge “ such a sweet chanting… a invocation.
We are sorting here too. Your chant calls to mine.
Thank You
How do we gather so much stuff? 😂

There was always that patchwork in my old drawings. .

Thanks, I look forward to talking about with a fresh perspective.
We need lightness…
Hi Lynda! Hope you are well. I love the word you used here – “nimble”. It’s a good one. 🙂
Glorious days, indeed! So welcome. Love, love seeing the rabbit and it’s translation on cloth. Yay Soul-O 🧡 Lots of letting go of stuff here, too. Feels good. I have a load of stuff in the car to bring to Good Will 🙂
Me too!
Love that rabbit!!! In cloth and painting 💙
They both bring back sweet memories.

Stuff can be like a pillow sometimes, but what comforts us changes and so do we.
Soul-o is like a pillow to me. That never changes.
the glorious days are finally here, after the BIG wet. transition times. and that rabbit; you know i love that rabbit, that cloth, that story.
Yes, transition is here, tho I expect more big wind and wet. An old story, eh?
Sorting. Refiguring. A wonderful task. ‘Twill be a newfound freedom when done!
What a curious and beautiful rabbit😃
It’s always new to revisit too!
Just have to say, I love this artwork. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, it brings me joy to revisit. .
