Said and done and going

fitting for the moment

Just a Real Journal entry, always Loose Pages really.  Even they are puzzle pieces.  Some new stray selves may  evolve around this idea. Oh the liquid puzzle!

both sides then...

So I was here yesterday, while considering adding some cloth to back, for substance.  Support for going, stitch.

Thinking, thankful for all your kind comments.  Having no more words.

how it became more stable.

I happened upon an unused heart cutout pinned to the nothings wall.  A little bit about how it happened ended up on Instagram yesterdayThere was a version of Mind's Eye Stitching with magic thread just to frame the center. (it doesn't go all the way through)

And so April is almost becoming May.

I am pulling my thoughts together for the Forever Zone, so I might begin sharing more detailed process on private pages again.  I hope to do a test newsletter soon.

before the deer...

Surely the deer will change this scene soon.

  1. The color scheme of your sunflower log cabin is a little unusual for you, although your color sense is wide ranging. I notice the coloristic kinship between your block and the photo of your plants and realize that you are absorbing and returning the cues from your surroundings.
I am a little behind with the events of your life, and am stunned at the departure of the Man. I take you at your word that you are okay, but whew, that’s a big change. I am thinking of you with love.

yes, season is usually my guide.
Thank you Dana, big change, but the love did not disappear, just circumstances, and that will comfort me.

  2. Love this! I watched the video over at Instagram (a place I rarely go) and enjoyed learning how it went…came to be. I especially like that it fell into being, not some contrived placement for the moment. Gotta love our tattered, patching – useful hearts 💕
Today I noticed how the colors you used for the log cabin are similar to the Deb Thread I chose, for my own reasons, to stitch ‘contentment’. Love when that happens.
The green growing world looks lovely.

The heart, what a great place to put it- not only to cover what you might want to cover, but to transmute it into a symbol of love.

I had to zoom in on the petals again. It keeps coming to me as if a frayed crocheted doily was attached. The empty, yet full shades of color. It’s story.
Eye caught the beloved magnolia blooms, grabbed some happiness there. 🌼

Beautiful green Spring . . . things are just starting to grow here, but not like that! The heart on the back – it brought tears to my eyes. I love that your work really reflects your life . . . so beautiful. Take care & enjoy the Spring!

Living up to its name, spring keeps popping in and out of Michigan – so I am really enjoying your “before the deer” photo with its greenery and sunshine. This new season finds me really leaning into stitching and letting go of clay work indefinitely – changing seasons in so many ways.

  7. The heart on the other side…perfect. 🙂 No deer in the garden yet this year, but I am having to make the veggie beds unattractive to the neighborhood cats (lots of sticks stuck into the ground until things are big enough to fill the space).

So very good to hear from you again!! You were on my mind…
Love the Heart, soft and sweet, the protective border tangled and frayed…and isn’t that the way it goes? We must protect our beautiful Hearts.

    Lucky deer!
Inhale the nature it’s so precious.
I have such an iny tiny garden and I enjoy it so much, no deers here but they’re welcome.

And just like that, a new season!

“Hope is a thing with feathers…” As the poem goes, but for me– Hope has always been the quiet creeping green of Spring! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 Sending you lots of fresh green thots!
    Spring forth!!

    I love the reverse heart!!
( I always thot it would be grand to have a large room in which I could suspend the cloths, so one could see the reverse of things!
    Such beauty there.
